An important part of the creation process is to know when to stop editing and workshopping what you've done and call your song  done. 

Otherwise we can tinker on our songs indefinitely and never finish everything. I've noticed songwriters either tend towards being overly picky and not letting go of a song soon enough, or tend towards probably needing to take their time a bit more to refine ok songs into great songs with a bit more work and patience.
